Family Support Services Banner

Parenting can be a tough gig, and we all need a little support from time to time. Our services are voluntary and focus on strengthening and rebuilding families by supporting their relationships and living situations, with safety as a top priority. We offer support through home and community visits, online and phone contact, as well as face-to-face appointments at our centres.

When a family contacts us, we carry out an assessment to better understand their needs and work collaboratively to set goals that guide the support process. Families receive assistance through casework services – for instance, a caseworker may visit to provide practical strategies and options to help manage challenges. The duration of support depends on each family’s individual circumstances, with services available for up to 12 months.

Our experienced caseworkers support families across a range of areas, including child development and behaviour, family breakdown, social isolation, mental health concerns, substance use, domestic violence, gambling, housing challenges, childcare, and other related issues. Families can self-refer or be referred by other agencies. Our service operates across the Northern Sydney region and supports families with children up to 18 years of age. This is a free service funded by our State & Federal Government partners.

We also offer a variety of group-based support programs, including supported playgroups, specialised groups, and parenting courses such as Circle of Security, Tuning into Kids, Tuning into Teens, Triple P Parenting and 1-2-3 Magic. For more information about our upcoming programs, click here.
