CatholicCare’s Memory Innovations Centre improves quality of life, wellbeing and helps support positive brain health for seniors in our community.
Our professionally run programs focus on having fun, connecting with others and stimulating your brain. Combining science and social activity and run by experienced specialists to ensure you get the best outcomes for your wellbeing, we offer classes in Waitara and on the Central Coast (in Erina, The Entrance and Woy Woy) allowing you to choose a location to suit you. We also offer group programs of your choice run at your retirement village, club or parish group.
Payment options include:
- Subsidised through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (assessment and eligibility required for Allied Health and Therapy)
- Funded in full through a Home Care Package
- Private fee payment.

ARTS SMARTS AT WAITARA

Art therapy can have positive effects on the emotional wellbeing and cognitive function in aging adults. Seniors are supported in a safe and nurturing environment guided by a registered Art Therapist, to express their thoughts, feelings and lived experiences through art mediums including painting, drawing and sculpting.

You will perform a variety of exercises to improve your cardiovascular fitness, build muscle strength and improve balance to reduce the risk of falls. Exercises can be tailored to accommodate different abilities and ensure everyone is safe and supported throughout the program.
