Grow your relationship in preparation for marriage

Congratulations! You are engaged! This is a such a wonderful time in your life as you and your fiancé prepare for a future together. This is a fantastic time to plan for your journey together and ensure your relationship is on track for success.

Marriage preparation programs allow you and your fiancé to grow your relationship, through a deeper understanding of each other. CatholicCare offer two programs, in both religious and non-religious formats.

FOCCUS pre-marriage education, is an internationally recognised program which provides couples with insights into their current relationship and tools for a happy future. Couples will individually respond to a survey which includes topics such as Communication, Dual Careers, Extended Family, Friends and Interests, Finances, Intimacy, Parenting as well as Lifestyle Expectations. These responses will then be compared, to identify areas of strength and areas for growth, with an accredited Relationship Educator.

The program is run over two sessions and offered at our Waitara, Naremburn and Brookvale Centres.

PREPARE ENRICH is the other relationship program offered at CatholicCare. It has empowered and energised more than 3 million couples! This program also involves you and your fiancé individually engaging in surveys, which will identify the unique strengths and potential growth areas in your relationship! A trained Facilitator will provide you with feedback and assist you with understanding your results.  The program will also explore your personality traits, strengthen your communication skills, resolve conflicts and reduce stress as well as establish personal, couple and family goals.
