We work with you to build on your strength as a family and help you to create a home environment where children thrive. By gaining important insights and learning new skills parents via our parenting programs, you’ll be better equipped to help your children reach their potential.

Circle of Security

Date: Wed 8 May – 12 June 2024

A 6 week program for parents of children 0 – 12 years of age, Circle of Security is an evidence based attachment and relationship based early intervention parenting program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and their children.

This course is for parents residing in Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney and Northern Beaches suburbs.

This program will provide you with skills in emotion coaching and help you recognise, understand and regulate, to work through your young person’s emotions. It focuses on the development needs of teenagers and how to respond to their needs when being rejected or pushed away.   

This course is for parents residing in Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney and Northern Beaches suburbs.

A 5 week course for parents of primary school aged children. Learn skills to assist your child in understanding and managing their emotions. Explore how to deal with frustrations and conflict and how to develop good social skills and positive behaviours.

A 3 week course for parents of 2 – 12 year olds. Learn how to manage behaviour without arguing or shouting and discover methods to stop unwanted behaviours, increase co-operation and enhance your relationship with your children.

This course is for parents residing in Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney and Northern Beaches suburbs.

Keeping Kids in mind event tile

Keeping Kids in Mind

Date: Thurs 20 June – 18 July 2024
Time: 12.00pm – 2.30pm

A 5 week online course for parents experiencing conflict after separation. This course is designed to assist parents to see through their children’s eyes the experience of parental separation. You’ll also develop a greater understanding about how to support your children.

Participants must register, participate in a pre-group interview and pay prior to joining the course.

Frequently asked questions

I am not Catholic, can I still access your parenting programs?

Yes, these programs are open to all.

Is there a fee for the parenting programs?

Currently we do not charge a fee for our parenting programs.  From time to time we may request payment for materials such as workbooks to be posted to you.

Are these programs available to all families in the wider Sydney area?

The majority of our programs are only available to residents living on the Northern Beaches and Northern suburbs of Sydney. Keeping Kids in Mind is available to families right across our Diocese including the Central Coast. Please call us if you are unsure.

Are the parenting programs like a webinar?

No, they all involve participation and group discussion. They are designed as a small group and for parents to be able to ask questions.

Do I need to attend the program each week?

Yes, the program content builds on itself week by week, you need to commit to all the sessions.

Can I bring my child along?

No, unfortunately we can’t offer any childcare on site.

Can my husband attend with me?

Yes, but you will need to register separately.

Can I have a copy of the slides from the program?

No, we can’t give out any of the slides but each program will have handouts to take home each week.

Can I attend the program if I have already done it with another service?

Yes, you can absolutely attend the program again.

Can I watch a recorded session?

No, we don’t record any of our sessions to ensure participant confidentiality.

Can I get a certificate of attendance for court?

Yes, we can provide certificates of attendance if needed.
